ALLOCATION
SOLV® specifies and designs Hydrocarbon Allocation systems to equitably allocate production from multiple fields to production exports.
We have designed allocation systems using various methods, including: Process Simulation, Multistage Shrink and Flash and Mass Component Allocation.
Mass Component Allocation takes each liquid or gas fluid component into account as mass is not affected by variations of fluid volumes throughout the plant. A unique system was designed by SOLV® to allocate liquid hydrocarbon production Mass Component with a total Plant Material Balance of less than ± 0.5% of plant throughput to ensure Equitable allocation to three Field Owners. In this case the Allocation System design started with the FEED project which enabled all of the flow meters to be specified ensuring all plant inputs, outputs and vapour liquid exchanges were accounted for which is a contributor to the good plant balance.
