SOLV® are dedicated to reviewing, designing, and supporting various hydrocarbon allocation projects.
We are currently in the advanced stages of an independent third-party technical review for a major operator in North America. The current allocation method utilizes multistage shrink and flash calculations which are supported by process simulations and plant modelling. The review verifies whether the allocation methodologies in place are appropriate with reference to international standards and federal regulations and identifies potential sources of bias.
SOLV® are also continuing their long-term Production Allocation System support for an oil and gas processing facility based in northern Africa. SOLV®’s involvement started with the FEED project in which we outlined flow meter specification and designed a bespoke system to allocate liquid hydrocarbon production on a mass component basis. There is now a requirement for updates to the allocation system to reflect plant operational changes, ensuring the allocation is as equitable as possible.
